# OpenClaw Provider Plugin Configuration Guide

> AceDataCloud Coding Plan integration guide - Ace Data Cloud

## 1. Obtain API Key

Open the [Ace Data Cloud application list](https://platform.acedata.cloud/console/applications), access the available applications, and copy the API Key.

## 2. Install OpenClaw and the Plugin

```bash theme={null}
npm install -g openclaw@latest
openclaw plugins install npm:@acedatacloud/openclaw-provider@2026.5.34 --pin
```

The plugin requires OpenClaw `2026.4.2` or higher, currently natively providing Chat and Web Search capabilities.

## 3. Configure Key

It is recommended to use onboarding:

```bash theme={null}
openclaw onboard \
  --auth-choice acedatacloud-api-key \
  --acedata-api-key "your API Key"
```

You can also use environment variables:

```bash theme={null}
export ACEDATACLOUD_API_KEY="your API Key"
```

## 4. Optional: Manual Configuration

When not using onboarding, enable the plugin and set the default model in `~/.openclaw/openclaw.json`:

```json theme={null}
{
  "agents": {
    "defaults": {
      "model": { "primary": "acedatacloud/MODEL_ID" }
    }
  },
  "plugins": {
    "allow": ["acedatacloud"],
    "entries": {
      "acedatacloud": { "enabled": true }
    }
  }
}
```

Do not write the API Key into this file; continue using environment variables.

## 5. Select Model and Verify

```bash theme={null}
openclaw plugins info acedatacloud --runtime
openclaw plugins doctor
openclaw models list --all --provider acedatacloud
openclaw agent --local --session-id coding-plan-check \
  --model acedatacloud/MODEL_ID --json -m "Reply only OK"
```

Replace `MODEL_ID` with the model currently provided by Coding Plan. To set it as the default model, run:

```bash theme={null}
openclaw models set acedatacloud/MODEL_ID
```

Call records can be viewed in the [Usage History](https://platform.acedata.cloud/console/usages). A 401 indicates an invalid Key; if the model does not exist, first check the exact ID and plugin version. The `cost: 0` in the plugin directory only indicates that it is not re-estimated by OpenClaw, actual costs are still recorded by Ace Data Cloud.

## Web Search

```bash theme={null}
openclaw infer web search \
  --provider acedatacloud --query "latest AI agent frameworks" --limit 5
```

Currently, do not consider the image, video, or music capabilities mentioned in the plugin introduction as native Provider capabilities of OpenClaw.
