# Continue for VS Code Custom Model Configuration

> AceDataCloud Coding Plan integration guide - Ace Data Cloud

Continue supports OpenAI-compatible API. To ensure it uses Chat Completions, you need to explicitly set `useResponsesApi: false`.

## Configuration

Add the following to Continue's local YAML configuration:

```yaml theme={null}
models:
  - name: MODEL_ID
    provider: openai
    model: MODEL_ID
    apiBase: https://api.acedata.cloud/v1
    apiKey: ${{ secrets.ACEDATACLOUD_API_KEY }}
    useResponsesApi: false
```

Save `ACEDATACLOUD_API_KEY` in Continue's secrets management, and do not submit the real Token to the project configuration. The JSON configuration for Continue has been deprecated; the new configuration uses YAML.

## Verification

Reload VS Code, open the Continue sidebar, select the model in Local Config, and send `Reply only OK`; then execute the read-only file task again. If the request is incorrectly sent to `/responses`, check whether `useResponsesApi: false` is included in that model entry.
